Top 6 Reasons to Live in LaGrange, GA
- You can visit Hills and Dales Estate! This magnificent mansion was built in 1916 for Fuller E. Callaway, a Georgia textile magnate. It was designed by Neel Reid, a noted architect who reportedly designed the house to resemble an Italian villa with the idea that it would complement the grounds, which include an Italian boxwood garden. This garden, known as the Ferrell Gardens, was actually built on the property by the original landowners in 1832. Although the Callaway family lived there for many years, it became part of the Fuller E. Callaway foundation in 1998 and opened to the public as a museum in 2004.
